April 2009“I wish I hadn’t got coked up”...'Noisy Money' is a heady mixture of 30-Rock paranoia, Larry Sanders star stage-fright and that old Jack Adaptor magic...a fantastic new song from the ‘Swimming Pool Lies’ sessions which sounds as good as a dip in a cool pool on a hot summer’s day. It’s a song which is suspiciously funky and cynical at the same time, with a crunching riff and soaring vocals which tell a story of celebrity meltdown on the West Coast. Of course it’s all filtered through the song-writing talents of Cordoba and Frederick (aka Jack Adaptor), those cheeky South Coast men who love to play with songs and see where they go when they are chased round a corner.
‘Noisy Money’ is a one-off single - not available on an album release – for Jack Adaptor fans! Listen here:
JA back in the studio! First tracks on proposed triple LP are well under way. Cordoba and Frederick were at the shops buying bread when this picture was taken:

pictured (l-r) King Wyles at the controls; Matt Hempel The Gentle Postman; Lord William Snowboard (on bass) and Gareth "Mercx" Batson (relaxing after drums).
More news to come. Suffice to say it's all sounding dandy so far.

All set for UK release of "Swimming Pool Lies" via Imprint Records and distributed by Cargo distribution.
Please visit Cargo
to pre-order NOW!!!
It's the best one yet, a variety pack of 12 new songs all wrapped up in the inimitable Christopher R Clark production style, vocals are shared between Cordoba and Mr Frederick, help from a cast of several and photos by Gabrielle Motola (who also did the shots for Road Rail River).
You can also get your copy by
1) strolling into your local record store and ordering one (old-fashioned but way cool)
2) ordering in advance from online sites eg Amazon, I-Tunes (modern, fashionable, maybe a little distant)
3) ordering direct from the shop here from Nov 17th onwards for 8.99 including postage and packing. This way you get the satisfaction of knowing that one of the band has probably put the CD in the envelope and stuck on the stamp.
Whichever way you choose, we hope you buy it and enjoy it!

JA will release their new LP "Swimming Pool Lies" later this year. Please visit the music page to hear tracks from the LP over the next week or so. Also visit the website again for a chance to win a promo CD single which will be released this summer on an unsuspecting press and radio world.
Promo single “Beelzebub” powers through on a “Life In The Fast Lane”/”Oh Well” style riff and ponders the question: what happens when all the things that were bad for you have left town and yet you still wish they were part of your life? “He’s still my buddy”....Jack Adaptor seemingly sympathise with the devil too!
The second track on the single, “Come Get Me”, features a character reminiscing and obsessing about his first time, small town love. He has moved to the chaos of the city, she has stayed and married young, but that doesn’t stop him fantasising about using his as yet untried supernatural powers to win her back 20 years later. All set to a brooding Americana soundtrack.
Both tracks to be found on the forthcoming album “Swimming Pool Lies”.
